He's so handsome!
He does have a narrow muzzle for being a German Shepherd x Boxer. I'd say he's Whippet x German Shepherd x Boxer, none the less he's a cutie!

Re: e collar usage
If she is licking when she is unsupervised, I'd put it on then. In order for her not to associate the collar with the medicine, try getting lots of yummy, soft treats and asking her to sit. Pull out the e-collar, let her smell it, put it on her. Reward. Take it off and put it back on. Reward. Take i...

Re: Walked Chance with another dog!!!!!
Congrats! The only thing different I would do, is not to treat him when he looks at the other dog but rather when he looks at you. Your goal should be to have him pay attention to you, in order to be able to listen to further commands. When he is lunging he is fixated on the dog, and it would be har...

Re: grain substitutes
As long as your dog doesn't have any allergies or trouble passing grains, he should be fine. You must remember, not all grains are bad. I currently feed a raw diet to all three of my boys, occasionally, I provide them with quinoa, oatmeal, brown rice, flax seeds, etc.

Re: Toilet Training a Lhasa Apso
Well, if he hasn't been properly housebroken from day one, then that's your problem. You're going to have to re-potty train him as if he were still a puppy, starting at this very moment. How often do you take him for a walk? Do you allow him out long enough until he has an empty bladder? I currently...

Re: what do you think of a dog that never wags?
My new boy, honestly, hasn't stopped wagging his tail since the moment I met him. It's his simply preferred way of communicating, whether it's a "back off" wag or a "oh yeah, I'm happy to see you" wag. Noni only wags when he is happy, happily curious, nervous or attempting to be ...

Re: Help! Need to train adult dog to potty indoors
Is there any friends, family, neighbors near by that your dog trusts? I believe that would be the best option. An animal behaviorist who offers dog walking services or a dog walker with many years of experience might be an other option. They know how to handle shy, fearful dogs and spend extra time ...

Hello!
Hello! I'm from Canada. Not too sure where y'all are from. I am the proud mom of two rescued dogs and two other exotic animals. I, unfortunately, learned through failure that positive reinforcement training techniques is the the one and only solution to creating the 99.9% perfect dog (hey, nobody's ...
