Hello all, I am trying to potty train my pup by ringing a bell. So far it is going awful. He never rings it on his own and I have to physically take his paw and ring it myself every time still. Are there tricks to this bell ringing idea?

I went to puppy training class last week and they suggested to have the pup smell the other pups butt. You just need to hold the other dog still and allow them each to get to know each other. It worked for my pup so good luck!

Update... Milo seems to be comfortable with us. When we have family and friends come over he seeks us out to hide next to for comfort. This seems like a good start! When guests come over we provide them with treats on hand to show Milo they are friendly. When we go on walks he doesn't seem intereste...
