Re: Time-out has reduced the frequency of growling but....?
The comprehensive exam I'm not sure what all is done. I know they do blood tests, feel around his body. I would usually drop him off and pick him up about 2 hours later. They would check his anal glands, his eyes, ears, feel on his stomach and squeeze it to make sure there was no pain. .... other th...

Re: Time-out has reduced the frequency of growling but....?
Nettle: Sometimes he growls when I pet him or come to sit beside him. Sometimes he growls whenever I walk into the bedroom while he's laying on my bed. If I make a move to get onto the bed with him he growls. I don't believe he is hurting because HE DOES NOT DO THIS WITH MY HUSBAND. What frustrates ...

Re: Time-out has reduced the frequency of growling but....?
Thank you Leigha, I will try putting him in my bathroom which seems like it might be a good place and I will do it for a smaller amount of time. The only thing is, I don't know how to get him into the bathroom without touching him. I'm afraid that if I touch him he will snap which he has done before...

Re: Sticks?????
Thank you for the advice. I have been trying to teach her the "leave it" command. She seemed to do well but that doesn't mean she won't go after them when I'm not outside with her. I do not let he eat sticks if I see her doing it.

Re: Question.....on Neutering....
Thank you. Maybe I won't neuter next time. But, What about a female? She is a house dog, I don't want her bleeding all over the house and I don't want to put a diaper on her and take it off everytime she needs to go outside. What do yall think? BTW, I am from Texas and I use "yall" haha....

Re: Seperation Anxiety
Well, since I'm a housewife I'm usually at home with my dogs. BUT, whenever my husband and I go out during the day on the weekends I usually cut time with others short so I can go home to be with my dogs. I know they are happiest when we are home and I don't mind going home early to be with them and...

Re: Question.....on Neutering....
There IS a benefit to neutering male dogs. It keeps them from getting testicular cancer, it keeps them calmer and makes them behave better. Also, do you want to deal with an angry owner who's dog your dog got pregnant? I would be very angry if some dog got into my fence and bred my female and she go...
