hi, well he is typical collie , down on his tummy when he sees another dog (even if they`re practically out of sight!), he used to be a problem with other dogs but is much better now ,unless he is on his lead being dragged away! if he meets up off lead he`s fine ,if other dog doesn`t like his bull h...

what is this test please?
i`m swotting up on vaccinations at moment cos didn`t get shep done last year .and just had insurance renewal come through and discovered that vaccinations are required as condition of policy. is this a general thing with insurers ,do you know?

i have a border collie and i`ve come to the conclusion that he is training me to fetch :D when i throw a toy or ball when we are out , he will go and get it then when i tell him to drop it he runs on ahead and drops it and waits for me to go fetch it. sometimes i play along and others i pretend i ca...

on or off leash doesn`t seem to make any difference really. the latest incident was when my husband took him out in the morning, as he`s not good walking round neighbourhood we take him by car to area where we can let him off,get a few dogs there but not too many and we have a good view in all direc...

hi, can anyone explain why my border collie ( about 2 years old, rescued about 18 mths ago) is friendly and playing with a dog one day then when he meets them again next day decides to have a scrap with them?
this has happened a few times now.

sorry,might have phased that wrong! meant that shep was maybe trying push his luck sometimes and then gets told off by other dog, bit like older dogs keeping young upstarts in their place. had a good walk today though. shep saw another dog a little distance away and went straight down on tummy,i tol...

thanks for advice, i do try to keep distance from other dogs till i can work out their body language, if they are off lead and come running up to us it usually is ok even is shep is on lead.( i always put his lead on him if i see another dog just to be on safe side ) once he`s greeted the other dog ...
